For the first few overs, the Indian batting proceeded like a rudderless ship. and then, it was too late to make amends. So, heroic innings from Ganguly, Dravid, Robin Singh were of no avail.

Again and again, it is the inexperienced part of the Indian batting that is resulting in Indian defeats. More and more does one miss the likes of Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja.

If even half those deliveries were available in the end, meaning that Laxman and Dighe had adopted the policy of hit out or get out, India would have won with ease.
