Sachin and Sharukh to appear together for new Pepsi ad

With World Cup about to begin, soft drink giant, Pepsi is launching a new advertisement featuring India’s hero no. 1 Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood star Sharukh Khan as a part of its World Cup campaign.

According to Vibha Rishi, executive vice-president marketing, Pepsi Foods, the ad will start appearing on May 14, the day the big event in England begins. It is a continuation of Pepsi’s “Yeh dil mange more” theme.

The advertisement is in two parts and the first phase depicts Shahrukh trying to find Pepsi outside the Lords cricket grounds. And the gate he is turned out by the guard when he tries to follow Pepsi staff taking some crates of Pepsi inside the ground. He therefore dresses up like Sachin and manages to enter the ground and....

The ad also features India’s latest discovery, Sadagopan Ramesh. Ramesh has just join the long list of cricketers of Pepsi endorsees, which includes Sachin Tendulkar, Azharuddin, Ajay Jadeja, Rahul Dravid and Ajit Agarkar.
