Air India also joins the Cricket Carnival
07th May 1999
By Ajay Chaturvedi

Cricket fever seems to have gripped every body in this cricket crazy nation. No body wants to be left out as the mega event, World Cup '99 presents the biggest opportunity to companies to advertise their products and services.

Latest to get bitten by the Cup bug is Air India, which has advanced by three days its world cup fiesta on board India/London flights in a bid to gain maximum advantage from the hype.

The breakfast served will include dishes like ‘Maiden Overs’ (six scooped papaya balls), ‘Southern Deliveries’ (dosa, upma etc), and a panir-chole and jeera kulcha dish christened ‘Straight from Mohali.’

The dishes, developed by Taj Air Caterers include `Indian XI', a combination of 11 salads, ‘Square Cut’ (breast of chicken stuffed with mushroom), ‘Straight Drive’ and ‘Brilliantly Caught,’ a prawn dish.
