| Indian players are fully fit, says Dungarpur
By Ajay Chaturvedi
Indian cricket board president Raj Singh Dungarpur has said that the Indian world cup squad is having a good tune-up at Leicester in the run-up to the opening encounter against strong favourites South Africa at Hove on May 15.
“They are all fine. I have been in constant touch with (coach) Anshuman Gaekwad and (manager) Brijesh Patel. The weather has also improved with the days being sunny,” the board chief said.
“They have already played a practice game against Leicester second eleven. Thankfully there are no injury worries too,” Dungarpur added.
Dungarpur is scheduled to go to England to visit the team’s camp at Leicester for a couple of days after reaching London.
