| PCB accepts Miandad’s resignation 03rd May 1999
The executive council of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) accepted Jawed Miandad’s resignation without saying much about the controversy that had risen after his resignation as a coach of Pakistan cricket team.
Miandad reacted sharply and said he resigned because some of the players did not want him to continue as coach and some Board officials had patronized them in their efforts
It may be recalled that Miandad resigned just a week before the Pakistan team left for England for the World Cup, citing “pressing family commitments.”
