About his inspiring captaincy in Sharjah, Jadeja said it was all ``due to team effort'' that he won three matches and criticised those seeking skipper Mohd Azharuddin's ouster.

Do not expect Sachin to excel always
We should not expect this much from Sachin always. We do have other batsmen who can do very good job. Its the media which talks too much about Sachin and putting him under pressure. Why can't the media talk about Jadeja, Azhar, Ganguly, Ramesh, Robin and Mongia and make them play better ?

He is a master batsman. So nothing wrong in expecting
much better things from him. I think media has to speak much
about him and his performance then only other players also try hard
to get that name and position. All for goodness. Sachin will surely
contribute much in batting and bowling. I pray to God to provide
him good confidence and stamina to win the world cup. All the best
to Indian Cricket to get the cup.
There is no point in talking much about azhar. He had done a lot
and he is still doing lot to Indian team. No point in critising him
at this time. Instead we can speak about his service and achievements

every body knows that he is the numero uno.and that it will obviously
depend on his form whether india reaches the knock out stage of the
world cup. but what about the other players? can't they improve their
performance once and for all? we wish them the best of luck and may god
give them that something( the killer instinct) that they have been lacking so

Yes, Sachin is back with full confidence, and it will surely boost our teams morales, and now we are in full strength to win the World Cup once again!!!
But don't forget we have good quality players like Kumble, Ganguly, Ashar, Jadeja, Dravid, Srinath etc,. And nobody is going to prevent them from what they are capable of.
And the best thing we as proud Indian's can do is to stand with them and give them the full support and encouragement needed whenever possible.

Sachin is one of the best batsmen in the world.
So naturlly India and even the world cricket
expects a lot from him.Off late Indian team has
become so vulnerable without Sachin and this adds
up to a lot of pressure on Sachin.I for one sincerely
feel that if all other players play there part it would
reduce undue pressure on Sachin so that he can play his
natural game.

No doubt abt it, Sachin is the best batsman in the world at the moment, but winning a game requires all the players to pull their weight and have the team's interest at hand rather than their own. Without a doubt there is alot of pressure on the Indian team - but it is the same for all the teams that are participating at the World Cup. Let us hope that this pressure makes the players of ALL the teams perform at their best, thus making the World Cup a memorable one. Good luck to Sachin and the rest of the boys!

Lets face it- if we can beat a team like Pakistan with their current level of confidence and that too with half the team ill- we can take on the world with the whole Indian team team fit and rearing to go. Whichever way the Indian supporters look at it, we will always expect Sachin to dig in and attain a high, match winning score. Like we will expect Kumble to bowl well and take wickets, like we will expect Mongia to not miss a stumping opportunity etc. (Sachin is always at the fore-front because he is THE best batsman in the world and we (INDIA) have him, hence it's always Sachin Sachin Sachin, we forget it is a team sport) What's more, living in England and watching cricket from round the world you will hear renowned commentators like Ian Botham and Geoff Boycott always drawing comparisms to our test players.....even when they are commentating on a match where India is not involved! The only conclusion I can draw is that not only the INDIAN supporters expect Sachin to do well, the commentators expect no less. From a personal point of view, I want INDIA to WIN the World Cup regardless of who is the top run scorer / wicket taker etc. GOOD LUCK INDIA!

he will definitely contribute as a bowler or by a spectacular fielding display. That's the reason I am against the ban
on cloning, Imagine 14 sachins in the indian squad, then we might as well keep all the possible trophies and cups

We indian cricket fans expect him to do what he does best, win the game for India and bring that world cup back to India where it belongs. He always did that for our country. Sachin is the Best
I would like Sachin to excel in all the world cup matches. More important, is the fact that India should win most matches and lift the world cup , which surely has to be a team effort. There are many good players including Azhar who has been an outstanding and most successful captain for India. It wasn't right on the part of Indian Express to openly critcize , forgetting all the good things he has done. I wish him and his team all the very best. One last wish, I would like Sachin to cross Bradman's record score in test cricket in the home town of the great master that is in Adelaide.
