Dravid opts out of practice

Captain Rahul Dravid could not come for practice in the nets today due to the after-effects of the anti-biotics that he took in Delhi before the second Test against Sri Lanka at Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi.

"It was decided that he would rest today. He will be playing tomorrow," Indian cricket team manager Wing Commander M Baladitya, told reporters in Ahmedabad today.

However, all other Indian players practiced today including Punjab pacer V R V Singh, who has been specifically asked to be with the team and bowl in the nets, the team manager said.

The team management is still mulling over weather to have a short conditioning camp for the Indian team ahead of the tour of Pakistan, which is in the first week of January.

The Indians are scheduled to play three Tests and five one days.

"It may be a 2-3 day camp," the team manager added.
