Pak to install floodlights in two new stadiums for India series 15.20 IST 05th Oct 2005
By Agencies
In view of the forthcoming series against India, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to install floodlights in Multan and Faislabad stadiums at a cost of Rs 146 million.
Pakistan has at present three floodlit stadiums--the National Stadium in Karachi, Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and Rawalpindi Stadium, which can host cricket matches.
After signing a contract with a company on behalf of PCB for the installation of floodlights in the two new stadiums, Director Board Operations Abbas Zaidi said, ''Efforts would be made to have the floodlights installed before the commencement of India's tour of Pakistan early next January.''
The installation is expected to be completed in four months.
India will tour Pakistan next January and play three Test and seven one-day internationals there.
