He may have played only one match-winning knock, albeit a swashbuckling one, but that was enough for Mahendra Dhoni to be offered a post of Deputy Superintendent in the state police by Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun MundaMunda offered the post to Dhoni during a dinner he had hosted in the Indian one-day wicket keeper’s honour in Ranchi. Dhoni, however, asked for some more time before taking any decision in this regard. Dhoni has recently resigned from the Indian Railways after offered a job by Indian Airlines. Munda also gave Dhoni a cheque of Rs five lakh for his century against Pakistan in the Vishakhapatnam one dayer. Apart from Dhoni's parents and other relatives, Finance Minister Raghubar Das and DGP S M Kaire were also present on the occasion. Talking to reporters after the dinner, Dhoni said he is game for a stint in the English county cricket, which he hopes, would stand him in good stead.
