Ticket sale goes up after Sachin found fit for Nagpur Test 11.28 IST 24th Oct 2004
By IndiaExpress Bureau
The sale of tickets for the third Test between India and Australia beginning in Nagpur on Tuesday registered a three-fold increase after batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar was declared fit for the match.
"After a dull and drab sale for the past few days, the sale of tickets went up three-folds today, registering a sale of Rs 9.5 lakh on a single day here," according to Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) sources in Nagpur Saturday.
Tendulkar, who has scored tons of runs in his previous appearances here, was ruled fit to play for the first time in the ongoing series and the cricket enthusiasts would be looking for his magic once again.
Sachin is the top scorer in a Test at Nagpur with his 179 against the West Indies in 1994-95.
