By IndiaExpress Bureau

The Sahara India Parivar has prepared a Rs 23 crore package that includes, among other things, a seven-star self-sufficient and fully furnished deluxe apartment for each member of the Indian cricket team and their support staff if they win the World Cup.

"If the Indian Cricket team emerges victorious in the World Cup 2003, each of its players, coach, physiotherapist and physical instructor will get a seven-star self-sufficient and fully furnished deluxe apartment in the 'World Champion Enclave' building at Amby Valley, Sahara Lake City," a press release from Sahara India Parivar said.

An estimated over Rs 23 crore package is being promised to the Indian cricket team, it said.

This will be a "humble token of appreciation towards their extraordinary feats that have brought unsurpassed glory to our nation and to further encourage them towards achieving greater heights of success for all time to come," the release said.

Amby Valley, an initiative of the Sahara Group, sponsors the Indian cricket team.

India, who have entered the final of the World Cup after 20 years, will clash with defending champions Australia in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Sunday.
