Needing just 130 runs to win in 50 overs, the Aussies romped home in just 20.4 overs with nine wickets in hand. Wicket-keeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist’s was the only wicket to fall. He made 54 runs off 49 balls before he fell LBW to Mohammad Rafique. In-form batsman Mathew Hayden remained not out on 67 from 70 deliveries. Earlier Bangladesh won the toss and took a bold decision to bat first against the best bowling in the world. Aussie paceman Jason Gillespie, who was at his fearsome best, claimed 3 for 20 from 10 overs. At one time Bangladesh were 13 for 4 from 7.5 overs. Gillespie was chosen man-of-the-match for his brilliant bowling. For Bangladesh, Alok Kapali top scored with 45 runs from 75 balls.
