Bolstered by their thumping eight-wicket win at Kanpur on Monday, which gave them an unassailable 3-1 lead, India would be looking to win the toss and pile up a big score at the batsmen’s paradise that is Feroze Shah Kotla. In the last two games, England bowling was pulverized by the Indian batsmen, especially Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. It would be interesting to see whether the team management would disturb the Sachin-Sehwag combination or not. Indications are that there are unlikely to be any changes in the Indian team for the Delhi one-dayer. England, however, may effect some changes as they leave for New Zealand on Monday after the last match in Mumbai. Some players are likely to be rested and others given a chance for a look-in. Wicket-keeper James Foster, who missed the last game owing to illness, is likely to be back in the side. Fast bowler Andrew Caddick and Owais Shah have not played a game in this series. The England think-tank may be inclined to give them some much-needed match practice. England all-rounder Craig White, who has rejoined the squad, is unlikely to play tomorrow because of fitness problems. Feroze Shah Kotla is a comparatively smaller ground, both in terms of size and capacity, and it is known to favor batsmen. So some big hitting is expected, especially from swash-buckling Sehwag who, for the first time, plays a one-day international on his home ground. That is bad news for England.
