By IndiaExpress Bureau
Ace leg spinner Anil Kumble will lead India in the Chennai one-dayer against England in place of Saurav Ganguly who is out of action due to hamstring injury.
Kumble is selected for the job by the selectors, as he is the senior most player in the team, reports said.
Earlier there were reports that either batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar or Anil Kumble would lead the Indian team.
The selectors have included all rounder Sanjay Bangar in the team for today’s match. Bangar will make his one-day debut at Chennai.
