Craig White to miss one-day series against India 10.38 IST 03rd Jan 2002
By IndiaExpress Bureau
England all-rounder Craig White will miss England's forthcoming one-day series in India in order to have keyhole surgery on his left knee.
White will be out of action for three to four weeks but he is expected to be fit for the New Zealand leg of this winter's tour and England will not be calling up a replacement player.
White, who underwent a scan over the Christmas break, aggravated the injury during the last day of the third Test against India in Bangalore.
The all-rounder, who scored his maiden Test century against India in Ahmedabad in December, underwent a successful operation on his right knee last autumn and was forced to drop out from the one-day squad, which won 5-0 in Zimbabwe back in October.
England are due to play six one-day internationals in India starting on January 19.
