"There is no question of making a compromise," Mr. Niranjan Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is expected to take a decision on India’s request late on Wednesday. There is a distinct possibility of India boycotting the third Test at Centurion Park starting from Friday if their demand is not met. The BCCI has sought the removal of Denness for slapping fines and penalties on six Indian cricketers, including master blaster Sachin Tendulkar during the second Test at Port Elizabeth on Tuesday. Incidentally, the South African authorities have fully supported India's call for replacement of Dennis. UCBSA communications director Bronwyn Williams said they would support "virtually any action" to make sure that the final test is played. in-depth coverage > Indian Cricket Team's South Africa Tour > |
