The suggestion came from former England Test player Geoff Boycott and a former South African wicket-keeper Dave Richardson. In a typically blunt reaction, ace commentator Boycott proposed that the Indian players take a serious "look at the law". Should the Indian players, whose good name has been tarnished by Denness, resort to legal action, the ICC would be left with no option but to come to the court to answer, Boycott said. Richardson, who retired from international cricket recently and who has a legal background, also said that the Indian players or the team management should explore their legal options. Navjot Singh Siddhu, former Indian Test opener and now a commentator, opined that Denness is virtually accusing Indians of being cheaters. in-depth coverage > Indian Cricket Team's South Africa Tour > |
