A cousin of late actress Parveen Babi has claimed before a Junagadh district court that she has left behind a will that gave him the "administrative powers over all her properties including the house in Junagadh and flat in Juhu area of Mumbai." "I have given a copy of the will to the court. The will instructs me to form a trust under her name and that all moveable and immoveable properties, bank accounts, jewellery and contents of her bank locker at Junagadh should be managed by the trust and that too for the needy, including those within the family", Murad Khan said in Ahmedabad today. The Junagadh court is likely to hear this matter next month. Babi had executed this will on July 26, 2002 in which she stated that the administrator of the property would have right over all her moveable and immoveable properties in Mumbai and Junagadh and that it should be used for the benefit of the poor, Khan claimed. Babi was found dead at her Juhu residence on January 22 and after her death, eight of her relatives in Junagadh have claimed rights over her property and have filed affidavits before a court there. |
