Salman fails to secure bail, yet again 17.14 IST 16th Oct 2002
By IndiaExpress Bureau
Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s desperate efforts to secure bail failed on Wednesday with the sessions court once again rejecting his petition.
The actor has been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder in the A-1 bakery hit-and-run case.
Sessions judge P V Bavkar, who rejected Salman’s bail plea, said the actor should not be enlarged at this stage because investigations were still incomplete. Besides, the prosecution had expressed the fear that Salman at liberty may tamper with witnesses.
Salman was taken into custody on October 7 after his vehicle allegedly rammed into a shop, killing one person and injuring four others on September 28.
The actor’s attempts to secure freedom have proved futile for the third time.
