‘Hum To Mohabbat Karega’, casting Bobby Deol and Karisma, will be Kundan Shah’s next movie after ‘Kya Kehna’.

The music director, Anu Malik has come up with quite a smart package even though the music sounds a bit digitally mastered. The title song ‘Hum To Mohabbat Karega’ has a western touch and strikes you with its pacy tempo. And the singers- Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan – have displayed their singing abilities to the hilt.

The next song ‘Tere Aagey Peechay’ – sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik--has a good melody line but, honestly speaking, it sounds like many of Anu’s earlier compositions. Then, ‘Yeh Khushi ki mehfil’ is a romantic song – sung again by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik -with a soft tune and low tempo.

Next, Anu Malik shares the microphone with ‘Alka Yagnik in ‘Dada Maanja, Baap Maanja’ which is a peppy song full of fun and enthusiasm. Well, it seems that Anu has made it a point to exercise his vocal chords at least once in the songs of movies for which he composes.

‘Lehliya – Lehliya’ is high on treble and folksy in nature. Singers-Abhijeet, Sukhwinder Singh and Sudesh Bhosle have got into the very spirit of the song. Even the veteran lyricist, Majrooh Sultanpuri, has gone out of his usual stride and penned the lyrics that stand with the present times.

‘Suno Suno Kaho Kaho’ has nothing much different from the usual and much - cliched Anu Malik stuff. Then, Anu again appears on the microphone in ‘Churalo Dil’, which, in fact, sounds much akin to ‘Yeh Khushi Ki Mehfil’ from the same package. And, in the end, for some secret reasons comprehensible only to himself, or may be for the sake of filling up the remaining space, Anu replaces Sonu Nigam for a re-do of the title song ‘Hum To Mohabbat Karega’.

Anu Malik has tried to come up with some different and easy-on-the-ear music. Though he has tried to bring some innovations and variations in his music, he has hardly succeeded in giving something really new and distinct to the listeners.
