Music director Viju Shah has got into his usual stride and churned out a hip-swinging and raunchy score for the forthcoming Govinda-starrer ‘Beti No.1’.

Maya Govind and Dev Kohli have penned the lyrics that are typical of a Chi Chi movie.

Fun-filled dance number ‘Tune Liya Jo Mera Chumma’ instantly strikes rapport with a certain band of music lovers as the lyrics is loaded with frivolity and gibberish. Abhijeet sings zestfully and in playful spirit, but Anuradha Paudwal, sounds a bit vacuous and dull.

‘Dilruba O Phoolon Jaisi’, sung by Udit Narayan and Anuradha Paudwal, is high on tempo but fails to make any impression as such. Then there are two tracks ‘Talkon Pe Aao Kho Jao Na’ and ‘Dil Se Dil Takraya’, composed by Ghulam Ali, being the bonus tracks, are surely the best of the lot and make the package interesting. Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamoorty sing these songs.

‘Dil Ki Dhadkan hai Tu Hi’ song is an ode to a girl child. Viju Shah gives an emotive appeal to it. ‘Chori-Chori Aank Ladi’ does not deserve any mention, although new singer Javed’s voice does make an impression.

‘Mehfil Ta Sajdi’ is a rendition of a traditional Punjabi folk song usually heard at marriage parties. Sung by Udit Narayan, Bhupinder and Mintoo the song is a foot-tapping number that will remind you of one of those family songs from Sooraj Bharjatya film.

Viju Shah scores an average music to equally average lyrics by Maya Govind and Dev Kohli. The bonus tracks by Ghulam Ali are, however, able to prick a few ears.
