After "Rakshak", this is the second movie that Sunil Shetty is doing with director Ashok Honda. "Krodh" is an action-thriller in which Sunil Shetty is an angry-young-man-with-a-difference.

Reacting to situations, Shetty has "blasts of anger" in which, like Lord Shiva opening his third-eye, he consumed all that stands in his way.

Naturally, those who tremble when he comes near call him "Hitler". However, Karan (Sunil Shetty) is like the proverbial coconut, hard outside and soft inside.

Karan is devoted to his five sisters. After all, he has brought them up, playing the role of both father and mother, ever since father (Kader Khan) apparently killed their mother and went to jail for 20 years.

Kader Khan returns after serving his sentence and Karan hates him under the belief that he has killed his mother.

Meanwhile, Pooja (Rambha) is in love with him, and does not feel offended a wee bit when he does not respond, perhaps, because of the responsibility of his five sisters on his shoulders.

The story becomes a bit complex since Pooja's younger brother Raj (Apoorva Agrihotri) is in love with Karan's younger sister. Also, Prem (Johny Lever) is in love with Karan's other sister.

Pooja's father, Advocate Verma (Mohan Joshi), who dislikes Karan, uses Pooja to trap Karan. The villains are Kabra (Ram Reddy) and Munna (Poonam Balan).

The plot gets thicker as the villains team up with advocate Verma and use Karan's sisters in a bid to bump him off.

Naturally, Karan is seething in anger, justifying the title of the film.

Being a Bollywood thriller after all, there has to be a twist in the tail. Was Karan's father actually a murderer?

With so many love affairs going alongwith the main theme of anger and revenge, the film can also be categorized in the "romance" category, but not if Sunil Shetty goes around chopper in hand, with intent to kill.

Rambha looks fetching, and the half-a-dozen songs, not to forget Johny Lever, provide the much-needed relief.
